# AI for medical practices

**When a patient doesn't show, you still pay for the appointment.** The specialist, the exam room and the admin team cost the same whether the patient shows up or not. And nearly 3 in 10 appointments end in a no-show, most of them for avoidable reasons: the patient forgot, a reminder never arrived, or they couldn't cancel in time.

An AI Opportunity Map shows where AI can cut no-shows at your clinic, the impact it can have and where to start.

This service is valued at USD 500. If you move forward with us on the implementation, it's fully credited toward the project. We only charge for it if, after seeing your Map, you decide not to pursue any of the opportunities.

## The landscape for private healthcare

- 27.8% of scheduled appointments end in a no-show: 703,449 out of 2.5 million appointments analyzed at a private hospital in Buenos Aires. (Giunta, D. — Instituto Universitario Hospital Italiano de Buenos Aires (2019), http://trovare.hospitalitaliano.org.ar/descargas/tesisytr/20190401151327/tesis-giunta-diego.pdf)
- 55–65% lower cost per kept appointment with automated reminders than with manual phone calls, with the same effectiveness. (Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews (2013), https://www.cochranelibrary.com/cdsr/doi/10.1002/14651858.CD007458.pub3/full)
- +22% attendance with automated appointment reminders versus no reminder at all. RCT on 1,000 appointments in Buenos Aires, p<0.001. (Mandirola Brieux et al. — CAIS 2016, 45 JAIIO (SEDICI-UNLP), http://sedici.unlp.edu.ar/handle/10915/57981)

- **Capacity you pay for but can't bill**: The specialist, the exam room and the team are paid in full. A missed appointment never gets billed.
- **Appointments that could have been recovered**: One in five patients who miss an appointment wanted to cancel and couldn't. That slot could have been rebooked the same day.
- **Confirmation that depends on someone calling**: Calling patients one by one costs money for every appointment and doesn't scale: when volume goes up, the calls stop.
- **Waiting lists that push you to hire**: Adding practitioners is the most expensive fix. Start by recovering the booked appointments that never happen.

## Where to look for opportunities first

We place each initiative by how much impact it can have and how much effort implementing it takes.

- Appointment reminders and confirmation (Quick wins)
- Proactive patient outreach (Quick wins)
- Automated no-show rebooking (Quick wins)
- Answers to administrative queries (Complements)
- Smart waiting list management (Differentiators)
- Re-engaging inactive patients (Later on)

## Your AI Opportunity Map

We analyze your appointment flow and show you which parts of it AI can take over (confirmations, reminders, rescheduling), how much revenue that recovers, and where to start.

- **The process as it actually works today**: We map how your team really works, with its steps, delays and friction points.
- **Where applying AI makes sense — and where it doesn't**: We separate the real opportunities from the ones that only sound good, so you don't spend budget on what generates no impact.
- **Impact and effort matrix**: Every opportunity placed by how much it moves the business and how much it costs to implement.
- **An estimate of the possible benefit**: The hours, errors or revenue at stake, with the assumptions in plain sight so you can challenge them.
- **A concrete recommendation on where to start**: One first opportunity to get moving on, not a generic list of good intentions.

## From application to Map, in four steps

1. **You apply**: You answer a few questions so we can understand and assess your company.
2. **We talk**: We start with a video call with an AI expert.
3. **We analyze the process**: We pick where it makes the most sense to look for opportunities.
4. **You get your Map**: Our first delivery estimate is 3 business days.

## Frequently asked questions

**How long does it take?**
It starts with a consulting meeting over video call, where we map out the process and define the focus of the analysis. If the process calls for it, we add a second meeting to validate details. The Map arrives in about 3 business days from the first meeting.

**Is it in person?**
No. Every meeting is over video call, whether your company is in Argentina, Mexico or anywhere else: we schedule quickly and with no travel involved.

**Do I have to prepare anything?**
Nothing. The only thing we ask is that someone who can make the decision joins the first meeting, so we don't have to repeat the conversation later on. If we then need to get into the operational detail, we bring in whoever knows the process day to day.

**How long until we see results?**
Reminders and appointment confirmations are among the first processes to show results, because the effect shows up in the next few weeks' schedule. The key is to measure your no-show rate before you start: without that baseline, there's no way to know how much it improved.

**What happens to patient data and medical records?**
We don't need medical records for this. A reminder only needs a name, a phone number and the appointment date: no clinical content enters the process. Health data is sensitive data under Argentina's Law 25,326 and the patient owns their medical record under Law 26,529; we design the solution so the clinic remains the sole custodian of that information.

**Does my company have to be large?**
No. What matters isn't the size of the company but that there is a process with enough volume — many transactions, queries or repetitive documents — for automating part of it to have a real, measurable impact.

**What happens afterwards?**
The Map is your company's, whether you use it with us or not. If you decide to move forward, the same team that built it can build the solution and support you over time. If you'd rather wait or evaluate another option, the Map is still yours.

**Why is it free? (while the promotion is running)**
We believe it's the simplest way to show how we work before asking you to invest in a project. This free-of-charge offer has an end date.

**Does it work with our scheduling system?**
Yes. We work with the system the clinic already uses — Medilink, Nubimed, an in-house build or even spreadsheets — connecting via API, database or industry standards such as HL7. There's no need to migrate systems or change how the team books appointments.

**Does this replace the front desk?**
No. It changes what the front desk spends its time on. Confirming appointments one by one is what gets automated, which frees the team for what actually takes judgment: rebooking the patient who cancels late, filling the slot that just opened up, handling the difficult cases.

**When is the consultation charged? (when no promotion is running)**
Only if, after seeing your Map, you decide not to pursue any of the opportunities we found. If you move forward with us on implementing one, we credit the full cost of the Map toward that project.
