# AI for media companies

**Less traffic, the same team and twice as many formats.** AI answers in search are siphoning traffic away from publishers, and the audience that remains wants video, newsletters and social on top of the story itself. Every new format lands on the same team. AI can take over the behind-the-scenes work — transcribing, tagging, adapting and searching the archive — so the newsroom can focus on what nobody else can do.

We pinpoint where AI makes sense in your operations, the impact it can have and where to start, through an analysis tailored to your business.

This service is valued at USD 500. If you move forward with us on the implementation, it's fully credited toward the project. We only charge for it if, after seeing your Map, you decide not to pursue any of the opportunities.

## The landscape for media

- 43% drop in search traffic that publishers expect over the next three years. (Reuters Institute — Journalism, Media and Technology Trends and Predictions 2026, https://reutersinstitute.politics.ox.ac.uk/journalism-media-and-technology-trends-and-predictions-2026)
- 97% of publishers say automating internal tasks with AI is important this year. (Reuters Institute — Journalism, Media and Technology Trends and Predictions 2026, https://reutersinstitute.politics.ox.ac.uk/journalism-media-and-technology-trends-and-predictions-2026)
- 20% of publishers already expect significant revenue from licensing their content to AI companies. (Reuters Institute — Journalism, Media and Technology Trends and Predictions 2026, https://reutersinstitute.politics.ox.ac.uk/journalism-media-and-technology-trends-and-predictions-2026)

- **Clicks that never leave the search page**: AI-generated answers satisfy the query without the reader ever clicking through to the site.
- **Hours of transcription and editing**: Interviews, press conferences and audio get transcribed and organized by hand before they become content.
- **One story, five formats**: Newsletter, social, short video and podcast: every adaptation is manual work for the same team.
- **A valuable archive nobody can search**: Years of poorly tagged coverage that can't be reused or monetized.

## Where to look for opportunities first

We place each initiative by how much impact it can have and how much effort implementing it takes.

- Automatic interview transcription and summaries (Quick wins)
- Automatic tagging and metadata (Quick wins)
- Adapting stories for newsletters and social (Quick wins)
- Smart archive search (Complements)
- Automating ad sales operations (Differentiators)
- Personalized content recommendations (Later on)

## Your AI Opportunity Map

We analyze one process at your outlet — content production, archive, ad operations — and show you which part AI can take over, how many hours it frees up and where to start.

- **The process as it actually works today**: We map how your team really works, with its steps, delays and friction points.
- **Where applying AI makes sense — and where it doesn't**: We separate the real opportunities from the ones that only sound good, so you don't spend budget on what generates no impact.
- **Impact and effort matrix**: Every opportunity placed by how much it moves the business and how much it costs to implement.
- **An estimate of the possible benefit**: The hours, errors or revenue at stake, with the assumptions in plain sight so you can challenge them.
- **A concrete recommendation on where to start**: One first opportunity to get moving on, not a generic list of good intentions.

## From application to Map, in four steps

1. **You apply**: You answer a few questions so we can understand and assess your company.
2. **We talk**: We start with a video call with an AI expert.
3. **We analyze the process**: We pick where it makes the most sense to look for opportunities.
4. **You get your Map**: Our first delivery estimate is 3 business days.

## Frequently asked questions

**How long does it take?**
It starts with a consulting meeting over video call, where we map out the process and define the focus of the analysis. If the process calls for it, we add a second meeting to validate details. The Map arrives in about 3 business days from the first meeting.

**Is it in person?**
No. Every meeting is over video call, whether your company is in Argentina, Mexico or anywhere else: we schedule quickly and with no travel involved.

**Do I have to prepare anything?**
Nothing. The only thing we ask is that someone who can make the decision joins the first meeting, so we don't have to repeat the conversation later on. If we then need to get into the operational detail, we bring in whoever knows the process day to day.

**How long until we see results?**
Automatic transcription and tagging start showing results within the first few weeks, because they work on your daily content volume. The key is to measure upfront how many hours the team spends on those tasks. Without that baseline, there's no way to tell how much things improved.

**What happens to our content and our sources?**
They're your outlet's most valuable asset, and we treat them that way. We define what material gets processed, with which provider and under which terms, so your content isn't used to train third-party models.

**Does my company have to be large?**
No. What matters isn't the size of the company but that there is a process with enough volume — many transactions, queries or repetitive documents — for automating part of it to have a real, measurable impact.

**What happens afterwards?**
The Map is your company's, whether you use it with us or not. If you decide to move forward, the same team that built it can build the solution and support you over time. If you'd rather wait or evaluate another option, the Map is still yours.

**Why is it free? (while the promotion is running)**
We believe it's the simplest way to show how we work before asking you to invest in a project. This free-of-charge offer has an end date.

**Does the AI write the stories?**
That's not the focus. We target the behind-the-scenes work; editorial decisions and the byline stay with the outlet.

**When is the consultation charged? (when no promotion is running)**
Only if, after seeing your Map, you decide not to pursue any of the opportunities we found. If you move forward with us on implementing one, we credit the full cost of the Map toward that project.
