# AI for hotels

**The inquiry you don't answer in time isn't lost: it goes straight to the OTA.** Between slow replies to inquiries, reviews nobody responds to and a heavy reliance on OTAs, much of your margin is gone before the guest even arrives. It comes down to revenue, not just occupancy.

We pinpoint where AI makes sense in your operations, the impact it can have and where to start, through an analysis tailored to your business.

This service is valued at USD 500. If you move forward with us on the implementation, it's fully credited toward the project. We only charge for it if, after seeing your Map, you decide not to pursue any of the opportunities.

## The landscape for hotels and lodging

- 1.42% increase in RevPAR for every one-point rise in a hotel's online reputation score, according to Cornell. (Cornell School of Hotel Administration, https://www.hospitalitynet.org/news/4058547.html)
- 37.2% of bookings made through Booking Group are canceled, versus 11.1% of direct bookings. (D-EDGE — Distribution Data, https://www.d-edge.com/avoid-guests-ghosting/)
- 15–30% in commission goes to OTAs (Booking, Expedia and the like) on every booking that comes through them. (Cloudbeds — OTA Commissions Guide 2026, https://www.cloudbeds.com/online-travel-agencies/commissions/)

- **Slow replies to inquiries**: Every inquiry that takes too long to answer is a booking that goes cold or ends up with the OTA.
- **Reviews left unanswered**: A neglected online reputation hits rate and occupancy directly.
- **Reliance on OTAs**: Every OTA booking costs you a commission and is more likely to be canceled than a direct one.
- **Guests who don't come back**: With no follow-up after the stay, you lose the chance of a direct booking next time.

## Where to look for opportunities first

We place each initiative by how much impact it can have and how much effort implementing it takes.

- Instant replies to guest inquiries (Quick wins)
- Automatic follow-up on pending bookings (Quick wins)
- Assisted replies to online reviews (Quick wins)
- Upsell recommendations during the stay (Complements)
- Early alerts for cancellations and no-shows (Differentiators)
- Re-engaging past guests (Later on)

## Your AI Opportunity Map

We analyze how an inquiry comes in and gets handled at your hotel and show you which part of guest support, follow-up and online reputation AI can take over, what impact that has on RevPAR and where to start.

- **The process as it actually works today**: We map how your team really works, with its steps, delays and friction points.
- **Where applying AI makes sense — and where it doesn't**: We separate the real opportunities from the ones that only sound good, so you don't spend budget on what generates no impact.
- **Impact and effort matrix**: Every opportunity placed by how much it moves the business and how much it costs to implement.
- **An estimate of the possible benefit**: The hours, errors or revenue at stake, with the assumptions in plain sight so you can challenge them.
- **A concrete recommendation on where to start**: One first opportunity to get moving on, not a generic list of good intentions.

## From application to Map, in four steps

1. **You apply**: You answer a few questions so we can understand and assess your company.
2. **We talk**: We start with a video call with an AI expert.
3. **We analyze the process**: We pick where it makes the most sense to look for opportunities.
4. **You get your Map**: Our first delivery estimate is 3 business days.

## Frequently asked questions

**How long does it take?**
It starts with a consulting meeting over video call, where we map out the process and define the focus of the analysis. If the process calls for it, we add a second meeting to validate details. The Map arrives in about 3 business days from the first meeting.

**Is it in person?**
No. Every meeting is over video call, whether your company is in Argentina, Mexico or anywhere else: we schedule quickly and with no travel involved.

**Do I have to prepare anything?**
Nothing. The only thing we ask is that someone who can make the decision joins the first meeting, so we don't have to repeat the conversation later on. If we then need to get into the operational detail, we bring in whoever knows the process day to day.

**How long until the hotel sees results?**
Inquiry handling is the first thing to change, because that's where the volume is and where you're losing margin today. The impact on direct bookings is measured season by season. What we won't do is promise a number before we've seen your occupancy, rate and channel data.

**Does this replace the personal touch guests value?**
No, it protects it. AI handles the repetitive questions and whatever comes in after hours — availability, rates, directions — and anything that needs judgment is handed to a person with the full context. We're especially careful with reviews: replying to everything automatically can hurt your reputation, so the AI prioritizes and drafts, but someone at the hotel approves the reply.

**Does my company have to be large?**
No. What matters isn't the size of the company but that there is a process with enough volume — many transactions, queries or repetitive documents — for automating part of it to have a real, measurable impact.

**What happens afterwards?**
The Map is your company's, whether you use it with us or not. If you decide to move forward, the same team that built it can build the solution and support you over time. If you'd rather wait or evaluate another option, the Map is still yours.

**Why is it free? (while the promotion is running)**
We believe it's the simplest way to show how we work before asking you to invest in a project. This free-of-charge offer has an end date.

**Does it integrate with the PMS we already use?**
Yes. Cloudbeds and Mews have open APIs, so the connection is direct; with smaller systems or in-house builds we work with whatever the system exposes. The Map tells you what we can connect to today and what the rest would require, before you invest.

**What about the OTAs? Do we have to drop Booking or Expedia?**
No. OTAs are still a visibility channel; the problem is relying on them. The goal isn't to cut them off but to win the inquiry before the guest goes searching there, and to follow up after the stay so the next booking comes in direct.

**When is the consultation charged? (when no promotion is running)**
Only if, after seeing your Map, you decide not to pursue any of the opportunities we found. If you move forward with us on implementing one, we credit the full cost of the Map toward that project.
