# Website development

We design and build corporate websites, landing pages and web platforms, custom or on WordPress, so they load fast, get found on Google and turn visits into inquiries.

## What kind of site do you need?

Presenting a company, selling one specific service and revamping a site that already exists are three different jobs.

### Company website

To present the company, its services and its work, so visitors understand what you do in a few seconds.

What's included:
- Design built on your brand identity
- Sections for your services, your work and your team
- A structure built for Google from day one

Timeline: 3 to 6 weeks, depending on scope. An example: [Datahaus](https://www.tupaca.com/en/success-stories/datahaus).

### Landing page that converts

For a campaign, a product or a service: a single page with a single goal, turning a visit into an inquiry.

What's included:
- A form, a quoting tool or WhatsApp contact
- Fast loading on mobile
- Ready for paid campaigns

Timeline: 2 weeks or less; integrations like a quoting tool take longer. An example: [High Electronics](https://www.tupaca.com/en/success-stories/high-electronics).

### Redesign or migration

To renew an existing site without losing what it earned on Google: its content, its URLs and its rankings.

What's included:
- An audit of the current content and URLs
- A redirect from every old URL to its new one
- Indexing checks after launch

Timeline: Depends on the size of the current site.

## What you don't see in a good website

A site can look great and still not show up on Google, load slowly or need a developer to fix a typo. This is what we take care of, even if nobody sees it.

- **A title and description for Google**: Every page gets a title and description written for the search it needs to win, plus structured data so search engines and AI assistants understand what you offer.
- **Old URLs that keep working**: If there was a site before, every old address leads to its new one, so shared links and what you'd earned on Google aren't lost.
- **Inquiries that reach the right place**: Every form lands in the inbox, CRM or WhatsApp of whoever needs to reply, with spam protection built in.
- **Fast loading on mobile**: Lightweight images and lean code: most visits come from a phone, and a slow page loses people before they read a word.

## WordPress or custom?

We work with both. This is how we decide which one to recommend.

| Criteria | WordPress | Custom |
|---|---|---|
| Best when | The team publishes content often and the site has no custom logic | There are integrations, a quoting tool or a very particular experience |
| Who updates it | Your team, from the WordPress dashboard | A technical team: ours or yours |
| Integrations | Through plugins, for the common ones | Whatever it takes: CRM, ERP or in-house APIs |
| Development time | The shortest | A bit longer, depending on the integrations |
| Maintenance | Keeping WordPress and its plugins updated to avoid vulnerabilities | Fewer third-party pieces to update |
| Technology | WordPress | Next.js · React |

## How we build it

1. **Discovery**: We figure out who the site speaks to, what it needs to achieve and, if there's one already, which content and URLs have to be kept.
2. **Design**: We lay out the structure and the design from your brand, and refine them with you before writing any code.
3. **Development**: We build the site, on WordPress or custom, and test it on phones and desktops.
4. **Content**: We load the copy, images and pages, and give each one its own title and description for Google.
5. **Launch**: We publish, switch on the redirects and check that Google indexes the new pages properly.

## Website success stories

- [Datahaus](https://www.tupaca.com/en/success-stories/datahaus): We built Datahaus's online store in under a month and its corporate WordPress site, connected end to end and built for organic search. The store ranks on Google's first page without paid ads — and has already grown revenue by more than 30%.
- [Seguros Listos](https://www.tupaca.com/en/success-stories/seguros-listos): We custom-built Seguros Listos' website around an online quote engine that pulls coverage from multiple insurers through their APIs.
- [Quick Informática](https://www.tupaca.com/en/success-stories/quick-informatica): We worked on Quick Informática's Shopify store, building automated distributor integrations to sell hardware without in-house stock, and developed its WordPress corporate website.
- [High Electronics](https://www.tupaca.com/en/success-stories/high-electronics): We designed and built a corporate landing page and a Shopify store for High Electronics, Dell's direct partner in Argentina. The store went live in under a month.
- [LEATID](https://www.tupaca.com/en/success-stories/leatid): For more than 5 years, we've designed, built and evolved the web platform for LEATID, the Training and Development division of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) in Latin America, with a dedicated team and ongoing maintenance.
- [Ideograma](https://www.tupaca.com/en/success-stories/ideograma): We designed and built two WordPress websites the client manages on its own: one for Ideograma, a political communication consultancy, and one for its founder, Antoni Gutiérrez-Rubí.

## Frequently asked questions

**Do you build on WordPress or custom?**
Both. WordPress makes sense when the team updates content often and the site has no complex logic. If it needs integrations, a quote tool or a very specific experience, we build it custom, for example with Next.js.

**How long does it take to build a website?**
A landing page can be ready in 2 weeks, or even less. A company website takes 3 to 6 weeks, depending on how many pages and how much content it has. If it adds integrations, like a quoting tool, the timeline is set together with the scope.

**Can we update the site ourselves?**
It depends on how it's built. On WordPress, yes: your team changes copy, images and sections from the dashboard, without touching code. A custom site, like a static Next.js build, is best updated by a technical team, and we can take care of that.

**What happens to the old site's search rankings?**
If you already have a site, we map its URLs and redirect them to the new ones, so you keep what Google already indexed.

**Can you add AI to a website?**
Yes. A site can have an assistant that answers visitors' questions with your company's information, at any hour, and hands off to your team whatever needs a person. We can also set up forms so AI sorts each inquiry and routes it to the right team.

**How much does a website cost?**
It depends on the number of pages, the integrations and whether it's custom or built on WordPress. We quote after a first meeting, with the scope in writing.
