The challenge
Grupo Palenque grows and exports mangoes from Mexico to markets around the world. It needed to evolve and stabilize the ERP-style system that runs its production plant — with an added challenge: peak production season leaves no room for errors or delays.
We supported the evolution of the system that runs a mango production plant in Mexico
8 months
of continuous work on the system
15
sprints of development, support and improvements
3
people on the dedicated team
60 h
of development per sprint

Our solution
We assigned a dedicated Tupaca team working on the system in sprints, focused on:
- Auditing and cleaning up the codebase and databases
- Discovery, analysis and development of new features, based on priorities set together with the client
- Sprint planning built around peak production dates
- Support and bug fixing on the live production system
The result
- A more stable, reliable system to run the plant
- An audited, cleaned-up codebase and databases that are easier to maintain and evolve
- New features aligned with business priorities
- A dedicated team that knows the system and supports day-to-day operations
- Planning at the pace of the harvest
- In a production plant, the calendar sets the pace. We organized each sprint's priorities around peak production dates, so improvements landed on time and the system was stable when it mattered most.
